The 2026 Coming to Life Bicentennial Quarter is struck from an impressive 5 Troy ounces of .999 fine silver and measures a massive 60 mm in diameter. At the heart of the design is Jack L. Ahr’s famous Colonial drummer, originally selected for the reverse of the 1776–1976 Bicentennial Quarter. The drummer is accompanied by the familiar victory torch surrounded by 13 stars representing the original colonies. The obverse features George Washington along with a newly updated 1776–2026 dual date, connecting America’s Bicentennial celebration directly to the nation’s Semiquincentennial.
An antiqued finish brings even greater definition to the deeply sculpted surfaces, emphasizing the highs and lows of the relief and giving the piece the appearance of a finely detailed historical sculpture rather than an ordinary coin.
