The legendary Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars take on an entirely new appearance for America’s historic 250th Anniversary with this spectacular 1776–2026 Reverse Proof two-coin set.
Created as special one-year issues for the United States Semiquincentennial, both silver dollars feature the commemorative 1776–2026 dual date and a distinctive Liberty Bell privy mark displaying the numeral “250.” These anniversary elements transform two of America’s best-known classic coin designs into unmistakable tributes to 250 years of American independence.
The Reverse Proof finish gives these coins a dramatically different appearance from conventional Proof coins. Rather than mirror-like fields and frosted devices, Reverse Proof coins feature frosted backgrounds contrasted against brilliant, mirror-like design elements. This inverted finish highlights the intricate details of George T. Morgan’s Liberty and eagle as well as Anthony de Francisci’s famous Peace Dollar design.
There is another historic first hidden within this pairing: according to NGC, the 2026 issue represents the first Peace Dollar ever produced with a privy mark. The Morgan Dollar has carried privies before—the “CC” and “O” designations on certain 2021 issues—but never this special Liberty Bell “250” anniversary privy.
Both coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint, carry the “P” mint mark and contain 99.9% fine silver. Each weighs approximately 0.859 troy ounce of silver, giving the complete pairing approximately 1.718 troy ounces of fine silver. The U.S. Mint set a maximum mintage of only 250,000 coins for each Reverse Proof issue.
Most importantly, the coins offered here have both achieved the coveted Reverse PF70 grade from NGC, representing the highest numerical grade on the 70-point grading scale. Each also carries NGC’s Early Releases designation, reserved for qualifying coins received by NGC within the first 30 days of release, and is presented with the special America250™ certification label.
