Ronald Reagan was President from 1981 to 1989. His Presidency was marked by a multitude of significant accomplishments. Including the most famous image of him declaring to the world “Mr. Gorbachev tear down that wall” in Berlin. He also championed another important, but less well- known initiative that created the Gold and Silver Eagles.

In 1985 he signed into law both the Liberty Coin Act and the Gold Bullion Coin Act. These federal laws authorized the production of silver and gold bullion coins by the U.S. Mint beginning in 1986. This set into motion the minting of the most popular coins ever issued by the U.S. Mint, in fact the total coins issued to date exceeds 600 million!

The anniversary of the signing of these bills in 1985 is definitely an event that needs to be acknowledged. We teamed up with the Ascension Islands to create the very limited edition Ronald Reagan Liberty Coin Act gold and silver commemorative coins.

This is the next issue in the CSN exclusive American Heritage series. This series will consist of a beautiful large one ounce silver coin, an incredibly detailed 1/10 ounce .999 pure gold coin and a gorgeous five ounce silver coin. They can be purchased separately or together. All are reverse proof certified by NGC in the perfect grade of RP70 and designated as First Day of Issue.
