2022 Jackie Robinson 2 Coin Set - NGC PF69 PSS Label
The Negro Leagues Baseball Commemorative Coins are being minted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Negro National League, a professional baseball league created in response to the exclusion of African-American players from the major leagues. Public Law 116-209, which authorized this commemorative coin program, mandates that the coins reflect the mission of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to promote tolerance, diversity, and inclusion.
The Jackie Robinson silver medal features the same design as the Jackie Robinson Congressional Gold Medal, which was issued by the United States Mint in 2003 under Public Law 108-101. This medal honors Robinson as an iconic baseball player, civil rights advocate, and political activist.
